    Thanks everyone - hatch date June 8......not a pea comb - a "regular one"....I was kinda hoping for a roo as my last guy went down with the ship protecting his ladies and I miss him terribly....but wouldn't do another roo if I didn't hand raise....husband will be happy if its a she!

    To make a long story short, there was (again!) another classroom hatch issue I got a call for. Chick was shrink wrapped after initially pipping itself out...even though the poor thing was peeping like crazy....teacher was "well, its probably gonna die" - hence the phone call from the school...

    Hi! Any folks in the US that sell fertile laughing chicken eggs? I see Cemani Farms has them.....but they would need to be imported....do eggs have the same strict guidelines (quarantine, permission to get in) as live birds?

    Would it matter if there WERE black chicks with white heads? This one definitely didn't have a white head - looked identical to the other....there were about 6 others.....ironically the majority having white spots on their heads

    Oh! The person I spoke to DID tell me that the sex links are a RIR roo to a barred rock hen...what would a 2nd generation sex link be? A RIR to a 1st gen sex link hen? Or a sex link Roo to the barred rock???? Just wondering if another guy got in there or something? Or the hen was a hussy LOL

These were from my son's hatching unit....I spoke to the place they got the eggs from, and I was told they were hatching easter eggers, cinnamon queens and black stars... These guy are black stars....and they were all black with zero white (female)....they hatched...
