Beautiful bird you have there...I saw the pictures and I have four week old Ancona chicks and they look exactly like yours except for the black around the eyes...is this another name for that breed?
Courtney
Thanks for your replies...I have four standard size chicks right now but I wanted more. So...i guess i'll have to wait or have hubby build me a bigger coop...which is definately not happening
Thanks again
Courtney
Hubby is building a new coop...it's 4x4x3.5

Yay!!!Another Cape Codder. Welcome!!! I got 2 of my chicks at Waquoit feed and grain and I think he owns the feed and grain store in Hyannis as well. I got my other 2 from Cape feed and supply in West Barnstable. Good Luck
wasn't sure how high off the ground the coop should be.
I was afraid to ask but I sucked it up and now i'm asking
I was thinking about a foot and half off the ground. If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated
Thanks
Courtney
I was born in Falmouth but just bought a house in Forestdale
It's pretty amazing to see and hear about how so many of us cape codders are raising chickens. The neighborhood I moved to everyone has chickens...it's great!
Hello everyone,
I just recently purchased two Ancona chicks without doing my research first...shame on me. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this breed and would like to give me any advise...or warnings
Thanks
Courtney
