I am going to do my best to make it this time in which case I will have with me Call Ducklings, possibly some Silver Appleyard duckings, some young nice Cochin roos (white, white frizzle, red frizzle, blue) and a few various bantam chicks.

Too funny, I'll be traveling from Ocala to Ft. Myers next week after traffic ! I have several extra roos I need to get rid of though so definitely don't need more.
The LED light that has 9 bulbs is the best for a limited budget imo. I got several from Tractor Supply last week for $1.99 each and they are really nice for candling. I can even see in the pheasant eggs. The six led ones are not quite as good.
I'm sorry, I thought they were two weeks old. At one week, yes nothing but mom's milk and if they have to be supplemented for some reason, then a good puppy formula
First, those puppies should be handled every single day from the day they are born. It is called Early Neurologic Stimulation (http://bordercollies.omegan.org/breeding/ens/) and can make all the difference in the world in how well the adult dog turns out.
Second, if you have to feed them at...
Goats. Most emphatically. I will never ever for any reason have another goat. My sheep are awesome, they are easy keepers and are just as good at being lawnmowers thank you very much but they don't stink, they don't destroy, they don't escape and they don't pester me and demand constant...
My gander loves most ducks but does not like my 4 Magpie males (can't blame him, they are bad! ). He will actually keep the Pekins close at wing and protect them from the Magpies. And when I put ducklings out there in their cage the other day, the gander came running over to check them out and...
I have a few baby Silver Appleyard ducklings and was wondering about sexing them. It seems that about half are a lot more yellow then the others but didn't know if that means anything or not or if there is some other way to tell. I'm used to having Magpies where I can't tell their sex until...
First one is a white Frizzle Cochin. Has a lot less comb than my other Frizzle Cochin that I know is a rooster but still has some:
Second one is a red Frizzle Cochin that also has a lot less than the known rooster but still has some.
This is the one I know for sure is a rooster, he's...
Ok, so here's my dilemma.
I have three incubators. One has duck eggs, one has chicken eggs and I have been moving whatever is getting ready to hatch into the third as a hatcher. I have been setting eggs on Mondays and Thursdays and so far my first two batches have worked out well. This time...
