This is Burt, he's about 3 1/2 weeks old. When he was a little chick I thought he was an Australorp, but I'm a chicken rookie and now that he's feathering out a little I'm not so sure. These are just pics I had on hand, if more detailed pics are needed I can take more. Thanks!

Well, it's pretty much finished. But I need to know if my nesting box set up will work. Do I need to make more of a cut-out to make it easier for them to hop in? And I'm guessing straw is the preferred nesting material? They are standard size Brahmas.

Okay, We added the roofing tar paper to the walls and added the shakes. We cut all the shakes from pallets we got for free. Very time consuming, but I am happy with the effect and not to mention the money not spent! All that is left is a roosting area and more landscaping. Excuse the mess...

I have 5 buff and white Silkies that are from Ideal Poultry. I ordered 10 and was supposed to split the order, but the other person had to back out.
All are very healthy and eating and drinking well. They are 5 days old and FREE

The little metal things on the post are ladies holding bowls of fruit (but they look like eggs to me!) I just had them laying around (no pun intended) so I stuck them up there.
