But now, it's difficult to actually follow a thread. I have to say - I don't like it *at all *. It's going to make me significantly less inclined to come back at all. Why bother subbing to a thread now? There's no point if you only get a single email and have to come back and check over and over.

They were email subbed. So the single email is different from before. I really liked reading replies in my email and only clicking through to respond to the ones I wanted to. Not sure I'll like this now. There are days I don't have time to go onto the site, but I do have time to skim my emails.

We completely free range, too. I have had boys develop gout, which changed once I went back to split feed {instead of all layer}; fwiw. Although, I think the boys may be older than Bee's birds, because she rotates her older stock out.

Actually, many people use garlic with absolutely zero issues in flavor variation. The bigger issue with garlic is that in large doses, it's an anticoagulant. The items you've listed are a good start. Lots of people also feed leftover spaghetti sauce without issue. My free-ranged flock has plots...

That has been my experience, which was why I wondered. I don't have any yet. We completely free range, so they have an unlimited supply of greens, etc. Thinking about azaleas and wisteria for color.
