Egg bound or Ascites/water belly???? Day 5

Hello! In true need of anyone’s help. My vet does not do birds and the closest avian vet is two hours away. I have been treating my “Turk” for almost 5 days now for being what I thought was egg bound. My husband swears he felt an egg last night but she is way past the 48 hour mark so that made...

Day 23 more than half haven’t hatched???

I didn’t candle all of them bc I didn’t want to mess up the temperature. But no more pops, movement or anything yesterday or today so that would be day 25. Guessing the ones that didn’t hatch would’ve been roosters. Thank you for your reply.

Day 23 more than half haven’t hatched???

Hello! I am new to incubating and hatching. This is my 2nd run. The first hatch was amazingly successful. We got 24 hatched out of 30 with only one rooster. Not even sure how we did that! We have the Maticoopx and live in a camper so with little to no room we set the incubator outside in our...

!!!!Baffled! Broody duck had eggs, now none!???

So sad for her. this is completely crazy to me but it’s been a couple days and there’s nothing so moving her...

Yes we do have some pretty big ones from eastern diamondbacks to racer and coach whips. I just find it so strange they wouldn’t make a huge scene. I feel so sad for her. They can actually eat them from under them??? I would think they would make such a huge scene if something were in there...

!!!!Baffled! Broody duck had eggs, now none!???

This is day 4 of broody duck Tater Tot and maybe broody duck Feather Locklear. I went to go mark her eggs this morning bc she has not been off of her nest only to find NO eggs!! There were 5 or 6 eggs that I could see on day 1 & 2, I'm sure she had more buried. I am baffled. I feel bad bc I did...

Thank you! They seem to be taking turns, so I'm trying to watch if they're both broody.

    1st time broody duck

Here you can see Feather is sitting on top of Tater. Not sure if she’s helping her keep the babies warm or if it means something else but they don’t fight and they usually just lay butt to head all day. Is this a best friend helping or is this something else?

    1st time broody duck

You can see the light puffing/fanning here. It’s never more than a light puff and it’s about every 2 seconds. She’s standing over Tater. I think she’s helping her stay cool… does anyone else know what this means or what she’s doing?
