    How do I bottle peppers

As long as you keep them refrigerated, you could put them in any type of decorative bottle. Would that work for you?

Does anyone have a little lemon bites recipe? Or any lemon recipe?

My mom used to make lemon sponge pie, but hers had twice as much sugar and half as much lemon. I like this version, from Recipezaar, much better. Made one at Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. According to my mom's recipe, you can use anywhere from 2 to 5 tablespoons of flour in the filling...

    Cooking Grease

I like to feed the birds, so I buy the cheapest bread I can find and use it to soak up drippings and put it in the suet cages. The birds love it.

    Tasty heart healthy recipes

My SIL wanted to lose some weight and he was very successful (lost 75 pounds over a year) by a couple of minor changes: 1. More veggies on the plate and less meat. 2. Portion control. My daughter really didn't change all their favorite meals, but tries to watch the amount of fat as a way to...

    Homemade Ice Cream Cake

My oh my, that looks great! Everyone loves ice cream. I've been making this pie for many years. Got the recipe off the side of a Pillsbury cake mix box. I'm not even sure if these cake mix flavors are still around. I love to cook, but am not much of a baker. This is easy peasy so it's...

    Fish recipes

We enjoy baked fish, too. I usually do it "red" or "white." White would be some extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, and parsley. Fresh lemon juice if I happen to have one in the fridge. Some white wine would be good in there if no lemon juice. Red would be some crushed tomatoes, garlic...

    Lemon Chiffon Cake

I'm a Pennsylvania native and got a recipe from my mom for a lemon sponge pie. Did a Google search and apparently it's a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe and not well known outside of PA (at least that's what I read on line). As the pie bakes, a cake-like layer will form on top of a creamy lemon...

Yoohoo, Calling All Cooks! Uses For Leftover Sausage Grease?

I buy the cheapest white bread I can find and use it to soak up the grease, then put that in my suet holders for the birds. I do that with all meats; bacon, sausage, ground beef, etc. Works out well for everyone. We don't consume it, it doesn't go in the trash, and the birds love it.
