    well right now i feed them oatmeal. there are watermelon skins but they don't seem to like them too much. i sometimes put grass clipping in there for them. and occasionally i will find worms for them to eat. please tell me what i should do to make it better. that'll be great thanks

    I used to have three chicks, but one of them (the black one which i named La-Dasha) would always pick on my roo and my blondie until they bled. since that one died, i thought that i wouldn't have this prob. anymore.... until i got two more chicks for the others for company.     right now i have small chicks. but when they get to adults i want them to roam free in the yard. the problem is, our neighbors have cats. so i was wondering if the chickens can defend themselves. also, they might be able to fly into other people's yards... and if they do, will they come back...

    thanks guys, but it doesn't seem to have all of the conditions that you have named. the eye lid seems perfectly fine, as if it is sleeping, no crusting, scars, etc. but when i tried to gently open it, he wouldn't let me
