I've seen the opposite of egg auctions declining on ebay. It seems this year especially, there are way more auctions for hatching eggs. I don't see many goose egg auctions. I heard there is a maxima strain where the Canadas can weigh 18-22lbs but I don't know of anyone who breeds them. I would like to get a hold of some of those. Most of the ones you see here in Iowa are 9-14lbs. It is hard to find true maxima giants. The Canada geese have such a wide genetic pool... -

I think you use an Auburn tom on Bronze hens and all the female offspring will be bronze and the male offspring will be Auburn. It might be the other way around. You can probably confirm what is correct by calling Kevin Porter, he's a turkey genetics genius. That's where I get most of my info... -

I don't know if just randomly you can have sexlinked turkeys but it is possible in using Bronze and Auburn breedings. -

Most of the cost goes into raising a turkey to adulthood. Once adults they eat less then a chicken. -

I have had coronation sussex, cream legbars, lemon cuckoo orpingtons, lavender orpingtons, sweedish flower hens, non molting pheonix, Davis Marans, Dan Powel Brahmas, and many more.
