Thanks for the replies. My little black and orange quails (how fitting is that for halloween?! I didn't even plan it. lol) are going to be separated today into 2 tanks I think. They're starting to get their feathers on their wings, so that seems fitting. Again, thanks for the input!
This is my first button quail brood, so I'm all about the newbie questions! Thanks for bearing with me. If you only know the following answer for chickens, I can try to judge from your knowledge there on what is right. I'd like any input at this point.

Thanks for the reply. I think it's more the survival of the fittest because they aren't pecking eachother... just him. the brooder temp is between 92 and 95 on the warmer side (it fluctuates between these temps now and then) with one side cooler than the other. They are all eating heartily and...
Hi all,

Oh yeah, I used the search function a few times, but my keywords must be lacking. I tried Turning Eggs and even the simple turn.... Is there a better term for this process? Maybe that's why I'm not googling anything good on it?
I'm pencil-ing my x's and o's now that I know a little more...
Awesome. Thanks! Wow, I didn't realize it was as simple as elevating the carton one one side and switching it. Should I remove the eggs from this carton a few days before they should hatch? I would think the bits of carton in between each egg would hinder the chick. Or do you think it will be fine?
Hi All,
I'm very new to the poultry rearing field... I've only ever bred parrots before - and then the hen did most of the work. But as a home project (just my equally clueless father and I) are attempting to hatch buttons. We made an incubator out of a cooler that we saw on cyberquail.com...
