    khaki campbells

They are full free range so them being in shape from plenty of exercise must have them conditioned for pretty good flight.

    khaki campbells

I got a pair of khaki campbells and I went to feed them the otherday when the goats spooked them they both flew all the way to the pond. I have never heard of cambells flying that far as it was close to 100yards but they both made it. I was wondering do most cambells fly pretty good?

Well I was going to make the roof 12 foot or 15 foot. I ain't decided yet so I could go alittle higher.

    Roost

I'm building a new turkey coop. My old pen has eight foot roost. I was wondering does this height sound good or does it need to be a little higher?

Yupp wild turkeys fly very well I did at one time raise them. I was talking about two I had bought that was weaker in the wings than the rest of the turkeys I had.

Yea If they fly evernight to roost that high they should be able to fly fine. I've had wild ones thats been in a pen there whole life and could hardly fly.

Would a heritage Tom that big have any leg problems? I no they grow slower but a 40lb turkey is alot of weight. I havnt had any probs with my turkeys flying but It looks like a 40 pound turkey would have a hard time getting airborn.

Yea I no the beard means nothing about there weight but most of the time a bigger beard means a older bird and so does spur lenght as well.
