Does anyone have a picture of what a split crest looks like? I think two of my white crested chocolate girls have a split crest but I want to make sure before I remove them from the flock.
Lavender is recessive so if you breed with any other colors that don't carry lavender then the bird will be black based. Lavender is a pastel gene that dilutes all colors in it's double form.
They are lavenders and nice ones at that! It's hard to find them in solid colors. I'm not familiar with the pearl grey color. It could be a common name for silver. Lavenders are an even dark grey. Silvers are lighter and often uneven in color. They can show a brown tint to them as well.
