HELP!! Raccoon in my trap, should I release it or kill it???

I just have a stern talk with the racoon, put it in time out for 10 minutes then let it go. Open the door, pull the racoon out, pat it on its head to let it know we all make mistakes, but that it needs to try and do better next time. Then I let it go. lol

One thing I did not include in this is the height of the roost.... my understanding is that it should not be more than 24"? I will make sure I keep the next box below this elevation as well. This will be part of a chicken tractor. I have 5 pullets and 5 straight run. I estimate I will...

    Tractor Design and Size Question

I understand 4 feet per bird, for the entire coop, but I am working on the house design and want to make sure I allow enough room for it. If I put 10 birds in a tractor how large does the roosting area need to be? How many nest boxes?

Chicken Tractor - Keep predators from digging under?

I love the idea of a chicken tractor, but we have coyotes and foxes around the area. If I do not install wire under the tractor won't predators be able to dig their way under the tractor? If you install wire on the floor how do you move the tractor without harming the chickens? The only...
