I have. Craigslist makes me nervous honestly. I don't trust that folks aren't trying to eat them.

I still have 6 pekins that would love to find a home. One has started laying again. 1 male, 5 female, all 2 years old or less. Located in the Lansing area.

The ladies were picked up last night. The ducks will go this evening. I'll likely have a coop/run for sale soon if anyone is interested.

I have someone showing interest in my whole flock. They may be visiting today. I'm hesitant as I think they want the birds for meat, but are explicitly stating they want for eggs. I haven't decided yet if I'm willing to meet/sell.

I'd be happy to split 2 off for you. They range in age between 1 and 2 years old. 2 of them are offspring of the 4. 1 is a drake, the rest are not. Feel free to PM me if you'd like. Thx!

Due to some big changes on the home front, I need to downsize my flock. I have 14 chickens and 6 ducks I'm looking to rehome. So far all the response I've received has included people flaking out, or people looking to eat them. I'd rather they not go for meat if possible. Posting info here...

Well this has been the most brutal week of my life. My furnace was condemned due to a cracked heat exchanger. I also found out almost simultaneously that I was being laid off from work, after over 5 years with the company, and almost 10 years of continuous employment. All of this the day before...

Well I got busy today and the roosters gained a reprieve for now. I'm ok with that though, because I will weigh them again and see if there have been any weight changes. It'll be interesting data.

I wondered if that could be part of it. They aren't "top roo" so they don't crow.

I forgot to mention. They were hatched June 23rd, so just about 5 months old. It seems kinda strange to me that none of them have started crowing. Only my main rooster crows.

Well I have 4 cockerels on death row this evening. I'll likely pardon one, and the remaining will go to freezer camp. I have to decide who to pardon. Do I keep the heaviest one? The prettiest one? Decisions, decisions. Currently I have the following live weights: 4lb 10 oz 3lb 15 oz 3lb...

    Help Identifying Duck Breed

A group member of the Michigan Duck Exchange recently posted this picture asking for help identifying the breed. The duck is currently w/ a wild life rehab and they are unsure of whether it is truly wild, or a domestic breed. Any help identifying the breed would be greatly appreciated. This...

A friend of mine on facebook tagged me in a post today for free sample packages of Grubblies. She said ducks and chickens like them a lot. I looked into what they are: "Grubblies are dried black soldier fly larvae grown and processed right here in the USA. Raised off a diet of pre-consumer...
