    Brooder for 6 chicks - ideas what to use? (NOT cardboard)

    Simple easy brooder...one of the large rubbermaid storage containers from Wal Mart. They work great.

    I did the same thing, when I started. Bought 2 dozen eggs, from my neighbor, who has free range chickens. Hatched out 18, out of 24.
