    I just removed this egg. When I candled on day 13 it had quit and with the veins missing I could now see the rolling air cell again.

    I have shipped eggs under a broody hen. They arrived with varying degree of detached air cells, so I let them sit overnight upright in an egg carton before giving them to my hen. Most looked much better at that point, but one was still completely rolling. I did not expect a chick to develop...

    Agree about darker eggs. I've had marans eggs that I never saw a single vein but hatched out perfect chicks. I always leave the dark ones in just in case:)

    I think they look correct for 7 days. Mine will be hard to mark on the 7 shipped eggs. The air cells are odd shaped on that batch. The SF and mixed eggs should look like yours when I candle on Thursday.

    I love all the pictures! Can't wait for ours to pop out. Day 7 candling completed. 10/10 are developing and look great. The olive egg and marans aren't easy to see veins in but the "blobs" are wiggling around!

    Mine are due 4/30 as well. I know it's too early to candle (Day 3) but it's my bday sooo... lol;). I took out the 4 lightest eggs, non-marans, and checked. All 4 show an eye and starting veins. Whoohoo! The dark brown and the green eggs I won't candle until day 7.
