I have shipped eggs under a broody hen. They arrived with varying degree of detached air cells, so I let them sit overnight upright in an egg carton before giving them to my hen. Most looked much better at that point, but one was still completely rolling. I did not expect a chick to develop, but now after candling on day 10 it obviously has a healthy looking chick in there. The problem is that I don't see an air cell - anywhere, not on either end, attached nor detached. Has anyone seen this before and what was the outcome?
