Chicken of the day: Beethoven. Are unknown- splash Cochin bantam
He is very polite in the mornings when waiting for my to fill his food bowl UNLIKE someone I know. *cough* bagel *cough* he is such a friendly roo and is very chivalrous . He would never hurt a fly, unless ofc that fly is my other rooster (he’s the reason they’re separated) but other than that he is super nice to everyone
Honorable mention: Potato, buff duck
Not a chicken, but certainly a wonderful bird! Potato enjoys yelling at her friends, pooping in her water, and scratching her food onto the ground.
Chicken if the day: cleo. 5yrs, unsure I'm breed
Cleo is an amazing chicken! Yesterday she laid a double yolk egg and still lays eggs several times a week despite her age! there is always a few chickens trying to follow her around. Despite this, Cleo is an independent woman and prefers to scratch around the yard by herself even though none of the chickens are mean to her
Chicken of the day: Georgie. 3yrs, ISA brown
Sat through a bath today and didn't try to escape once! She's such a sweet girl and loves the attention of people! One of my only chickens that enjoys being held
Chicken of the day: Marmalade. 5yrs, buff rock.
Recovering from fly strike like a champ, still a lot of healing to do but I'm hopeful. She's also never done anything wrong in her entire life, so I figured she deserves to be the first chicken of the day
