  • Nice avatar! Yay, the coop is clean! Is the silkie the one with leg mites? You have a great weekend as well! *HUGS*
    *HUGS*!!!
I'm so, so sorry! What a tough month! :( Are you going to try to catch the coyote? Will you treat the poor hen with leg mites yourself, or do you have a vet to take her to? You don't need to apologize for long messages, I don't mind. I'll be praying for you and all your animals. I have never had that much in one month; that sounds hard. My flock has been doing pretty well, but I think I might have four cockerels - or more - out of nine chicks. :( I don't know what I'm going to do with all of them, if they are cockerels. I know for sure I have two cockerels.
    *Hugs* again!
Hi Isabella! I am so sorry about your hen. As I mentioned earlier, leg mites can burrow into the leg bone and cause bone infections. However she could have Mareks or some other issue. You need to post in our Emergency section for help. I don't know enough about either of these. Did you lose Seagull the other day?? If so, I am so so sorry!! *HUGS* I know how hard it is to lose them. *HUGS*
Oh no! Is that the one in your avatar? I hope she just got lost or something and will come back soon! If you can't find any feathers, then maybe she just wandered away and is still alive ...
When a fox got some of mine, there were a ton of feathers everywhere, so maybe she's just hiding somewhere.
I'll be praying for you and her.
I remember she had mites, but, wow, I didn't know they were so hard to get rid of! Poor girl! :( I hope she gets better soon! Is she able to walk ok?
    Have a fantastic day! *HUGS*
