Brahma

Pros: Friendliness, hardy, smart (as far as chickens go, lol)
Cons: None.
My little Phoenix was a light brahma; she was THE sweestest I've ever had so far. She would hop right onto my lap when I sat down with them, and was perfectly content to just stay there until you wanted her to get down. She was also very smart, and the escape artist of the crew of 2011, as I call them, haha. Bigfoot, a buff brahma, was also very sweet. If I had room for more chickens, these would be one of the first I'd get.

Pros: Beautiful, sweet, loves to be handled, good layer, smart, not broody
Cons: Can be noisy if hungry, cannot see very well because of the crest
All 3 Polishes I have don't do anything but amaze me, lay eggs all the time, and make me love them to death. Hatchery quality or not, these birds are not only beautiful, but sweet and intelligent too! None of mine have ever gone broody. Mine will even fall asleep in my arms when I stroke their crest and talk soothingly to them! The only thing is that they will be noisy if they are hungry and can't find anything to eat. They are also vulnerable to predators since the crest limits their vision. I will be buying these again without a doubt and strongly encourage everyone else who has chickens to get some and do the same.

Pros: Huge white eggs, beautiful, great in any climate, friendly if handled sufficently
Cons: Likes to fly, can be noisy, gets sick easily, wary and distrusting if not handled enough
Last year I ordered an andalusian hen last year on the last week of May and I am very impressed. Andi lays huge white eggs every other day, is beautiful, handles the extreme cold very well despite a large comb, and is very friendly if you approach her in a non threatening way. But she can be very noisy if she is hungry and can't get food and flies a lot when I let her out. She was also very distrusting and wary when she was about 2 months. However with lots of socialization and handling she has become quite a sweetie. She also has gotten sick 4 times in her entire life, 1 time requiring antibiotics. However in my opinion the pros outweigh the cons. Would recommend these.
