This seed mix is great for those of you who love to spoil your flock: the greens are ones chickens especially love to eat! All seeds are non-GMO, and are sourced, printed and packaged in the USA.

Sowing instructions are printed on the back: sow the seeds in the spring, summer or fall in a 9 ' x 9' bed is recommended but I used a 4' x 4' bed which took two packets of seed. Wait 4 to 8 weeks later, then let your flock loose on them or clip for your flock. Excellent germination rate. I did use a white grow cloth with hoops from Gardener's Supply Company to protect bed while growing more from wildlife and pests than my own hens.

You could even plant your seeds in containers indoors or out. Use as an edible direction around your coop.

"Make this seed mix the gift that keeps on giving by planting them in a raised bed. The protected, raised bed ensures the roots and stems of your plants will remain intact, so your flock can enjoy their greens as they grow". My girls love this treat and it is a cost effective healthy way to grow it yourself.

Contains:
Broccoli Waltham, Purple Top Turnip, Bracco White Mustard, Forage Kale, Ladino Clover.

Net Weight .5 oz

Pros: Cost effective. Easy to sow and grow. Chickens love. Healthy Treat.
Cons: Small amount of shipping cost as not sold locally.
My chickens loved this product. Grew in the fall in August and they go crazy over clipped treats that I provide in a hanging feeder in their run. I chopped some up and put on greek yogurt with a few dried mealworms. Healthy protein treat, great during molting season. Yummy!

I hope you liked this review and found it helpful. I would highly recommend this product as a cost effective healthy special treat for your flock. You can introduce greens after several weeks of age, just make sure your chickens are on age appropriate grit as well.
