This product has great reviews so I purchased it to incubate eggs that were hopefully fertilized by my stolen rooster. I don't think those eggs were fertile, as they never started. Fast forward a week, my breeder offered me a clutch of eggs from her flock for free, which Instantly grabbed! I had all the settings right, had the humidity good... and after I set the eggs, had to babysit this incubator every step of the way. I felt like a broody myself, watching this incubator as the temp fluctuated up and down, sometimes by several degrees. A week after I set the incubator, I candled the eggs. About half didn't start, but the ones that did had clear veins and an opaque bloodiness. All of the eggs had died. Here's the incubator, and a pic of the thermometer I had inside, which shows the temp when I got up this morning. Even wrapped in a towel, this thing couldn't maintain temp.
Additionally, yes, the temp gauge on the thing is in celcius, and I know it isn't set to the right temp. 37.5C does not translate to 99.5F in this bator.
