Review:
I purchased two of these waterers for my 10 girls. The waterers have been in use now for a little more than 3 months. The product does not "virtually eliminates algae and slime." When I clean them, I can feel the slime within the waterers. The float in each waterer has slowing stopped working. Cleaning the waterers is dangerous in that when installing the two mounting brackets per tube with four screws provided, the screws penetrate the tube and have about 1/4" of each screw protruding into the inside of tubes. That 1/4" tip (x four screws per tube) of the screws are sharp and pointed! When cleaning the tubes, one must put their arm down into the tubes to wash and I have received deep scratches to my arm and hand as a result of the protruding sharp screw ends. Although a good concept, the design regarding the hardware is faulty. Because the screws are immersed in water, they have begun to rust and as mentioned,
they are dangerous when having to clean the tubes. At least I have had my Tetanus shot within the past 2 years!
