Pros: Beautiful
Cons: none
I love my Wyandotte! She is beatiful, super friendly, and always comes to great you. She is a little talkative but not overly so.
These are rally cool with their patterns.
Pros: I know they really like to eat & mine are quite big.
Not my favorite but love 'em anyway
Pros: Friendly, Talkative, Docile, Very Beautiful Birds
Cons: Moderately aggressive toward other birds, they can fly really well
I bought mine at 3 months old, my Roo is very friendly the girls are little stand offish. They are always the first to greet me at the coop, they love to talk back and are very intent on staying close when their behind the fence. When entering the coop they will shy away but warm up after a few minutes. My Rooster loves to talk to me once I catch him he's a teddy bear and won't leave.
I have Silver Laced Wyandottes mixed in with Light Sussex, the light Sussex tower over them and are twice their size but these are some scrappy girls, they rule the roost, literally.
As far as laying goes my Light Sussex are out laying them by 2:1 and they are younger the my SLW's.
I really like mine and would love to have about 3 more, I call them my flock "bling" they just stand out with those beautiful colors. Mine are hatchery birds and are on the small side, all my other birds are from breeders that cull for show birds and they are huge! Next time I'll buy from a breeder.

My Wyandotte hen is easily spooked but once you hold her, she calms down. She lays well and is nice and quiet.

Pros: Quite, Docile, Beautiful, Good Layers, Good free ranging
Cons: Can be scared sometimes, roosters can be aggresive
I first had orpingtons and then got wyandottes and I love them. You can tell them apart more and they are friendly and just good chickens especially for beginners, and they are easy to take care of. The hens are easy and nice, but if you get a mean rooster you won't be able to pet or get close to the hens. He is very protective, but that is good because mine free range. I would definitely get more again, just not any roosters.

Pros: Very pretty, rose comb - cold hardy
Cons: More stand-offish
They prefer not to be touched or held but will eat from my hand. Very pretty and I expect they will do well in the cold with their rose combs and heavy soft feathering.
Pros: hearty, healthy, very independant
Cons: to nosy! got her in trouble
I had a GLRW girl for a year and a half. She was just wonderful. Stood up for herself, never got pushed around. Very good forager, good layer, clean, nice size. Friendly. She would jump up on my shoulder all the time. Very nosy about anything that didnt belong or was out of whack.
Pros: good layers, friendly
Cons: none i think of
My 3 girls are young, 2 months old. very beautiful and a great addition to my flock.
Pros: Gorgeous plumage, very calm, not aggressive, good forager
Cons: Haven't seen any yet
Silver is my new Silver Laced Wyandotte and I got her for free from an old family friend of ours who had two hens and one died, and she thought silver would be happier with the companionship of my younger pullets. She is about 6 years old and they are about 3 1/2 months. I let them in the yard together and they all took turns coming up and getting aquainted. I seperated Silver off with a bit of chicken wire when I put them back in the run for a while. That evening all seemed okay so we took down the seperator and let her in with the others and she did fine. I was amazed at how calm she was, and that night she went into the coop with my other girls and was totally fine. She is an older bird, and her laying is starting to decline, but her previous owner says she does still get eggs from her so I will be excited when she settles in enough to lay one. She is a beautiful addition to my already colorful flock! She is big too, with a fat feathery backside, she's so funny when she gallops across the yard.

Pros: Pretty
Cons: Mean and not for kids
My Laced Wyandotte is only 4 weeks old and she is a mean little thing. I move all my younger birds out next to my 2 older Marans EVERYDAY. My Easter Eggers are sweet, my Orpington is sweeter and that Wyandotte keeps trying to peck me. I really wanted a Barred Rock but the store was sold out and I settled on Eleanor, my meany chick. I would not recommend this bird for children.

Pros: Might be the most beautiful bird out there
My first bird. A Blue laced red wyandotte. She is the nicest bird and always enlightens my mood with all her actions. She loves shoulders ;)

Pros: Egg every day that's not raining (so far), very docile, beautiful bird
Cons: can be bossy with other birds
Our Golden Laced Wyandotte is not the most outgoing bird, she won't willingly be handled but we did not raise her from a chick, she was 15 weeks old when we bought her. When she is handled she is very docile. She started laying at almost exactly 6 months of age and has been laying dependably (5-6 eggs/week) every since. We had a hurt chicken and the Wyandotte was the one to bully the other but I can't say that's unnatural. Overall a terrific bird and absolutely beautiful!

Pros: Friendly, outgoing, great layers
Cons: Doesn't bear confinement as well as other breeds
Overall, my experience with my Golden Laced Wyandotte rooster has lead me to love the breed. My rooster follows me everywhere I go and jumps into my lap whenever I sit down. Occassionally he will nip at me when I reach to pet him, but I think that is more a commentary on roosters than it is on the breed.
He doesn't bear confinement well and likes to have free range of the backyard. I have found Wyandottes to be a beautiful, outgoing breed and intend to keep a permanent place for them in my flock.
I recommend them to anyone looking for a good pet or egg layer, provided that you can give them a decent amount of living space.

Pros: Great Layers, Beautiful, Good Foragers
Cons: Very Non-Hardy, Flighty, Low Tolerance
Of the seven Wyandottes I purchased, only 3 (Likely 2, one just had a heatstroke) are living.
The others died of an unknown illness, but while they were alive they layed quite well.
I would not suggest Wyandottes if you want a breed that will last longer than one year.
However, if you do buy 100+ at a time for commercial production of eggs or meat,
i'm sure it would be a good investment. For this breed I suggest fans in your coop during
summer, and lots of Oyster Shell for the eggshells frequently get weak.

Pros: Very healthy, eating well and extremely active
Cons: Chicks looking weird.
Silver Lace Wyandotte, .... yeah right.
Chicks are now three weeks old, and as they are feathering in, it appears that each one is completely different from the other. Color pattern is nothing like lace pattern is suppose to be and they are developing long tail feather. Wish I would have know that just because you order a breed from a hatchery, it's only a guess on what you'll get mailed to you. Live and learn, but better believe that I'll be more mindful of where I get my next chicks.
On the plus side, chicks are very friendly and the little roo loves to be cuddled, but as a whole I can already see that they are "testy" with each other.

Pros: Good egg production, gorgeous plumage
Cons: Aloof
I've only had one Wyandotte, a silver laced that was unfortunately killed by a neighbor's dog, but she was absolutely gorgeous and provided me with a steady supply of tasty brown eggs. She wasn't nearly as friendly with people as my other birds, but she wasn't aggressive either. She was just... aloof. She didn't even sleep in the coop, she slept in a tree! I couldn't rely on her to always lay her eggs in the nesting box, either. It seemed like the eggs almost sneaked up on her, and she sat down and left them all over the yard. I received her as a gift from a friend, who says that her Wyandottes were similarly behaved.

I miss that chicken and wouldn't hesitate to get another one just like her.

Pros: not aggressive with people
Cons: really really mean to the other chickens
I have four chickens, and they are still young- almost 3 months old now. I have one Silver-Laced Wyandotte that is the Beta girl in the flock. All the other girls get along well, but Silver always has to start something. She seems to continually pick on the other chickens, all except Ninja, the Alpha, a Black Australorp that for some reason is SO much bigger than the other girls (but very gentle and protective of them). She isn't aggressive with people at all, however, and eats out of our hands and comes when we call just like the others do. She isn't as friendly as our Blue Andalusian, who likes to sit on my shoulder, or our Americauna either, but I wouldn't say she's standoffish.
But, to sum up...

In a nutshell, my father always used to tell me: "Don't start no s*** and there won't be no s***"

Silver likes to start s***, pardon my chickenese...

Pros: Beautiful, cold hardy, consistent egg layers
Cons: Not as friendly
I bought two of these because it was on the list of cold hardy breeds in addition to the beauty of the bird. They are very nice birds and get along well with the others in my flock but they are not much for human interaction. They stay on the outskirts with my black star when I visit them in the coop.
