    CRD is a very distressing disease and have other diseases associated such as coccidia. If I had a chicken like yours I would not worried much , temperature dropped fast in the last days in Portugal so it`s most likely a cold...if the vet is still going there ask him...

    As long as you keep enough water in the incubator it`ll prevent the eggs temperature to drop fast, as long as the temperature is no lower than 30 Celsius degrees you will not have major problems , can you get an analogical thermometer? in this cases they are safer, put one inside the incubator...

    Yes, mice (rats) do that - on the neck and on the back part mainly, during night time, they use the feathers to make they own nests,some use feathers to make pillows and coats other to make nests!!! :D

    Rats do that during night,see if the feathers stumps remain there as if they were cut (if the skin is soft without the stumps that`s another problem)
