So I have a new Newrall Egg Incubator Digital Fully Automatic Hatcher HHD 56s with a digital temperature control electronic temp probe inside. Well had 56 fertile eggs in the incubator and all was going well for 4 days. At 12:34am the temp alarm was sounding as the temp reading dropped to 9 deg C. I could not get the temp reading to go up to 37.5. The temp display kept fluctuating the temp. The alarm cannot be turned off and I have no idea how long the temp was dropping before the alarm kept going off. I turned it off and sufficed that I would be starting over. No digital thermometer is included. I am not sure what happened? Anyone have experience with this? I am to assume the electronic temp probe installed in the unit is shot or what? Thank you for any help.

As long as you keep enough water in the incubator it`ll prevent the eggs temperature to drop fast, as long as the temperature is no lower than 30 Celsius degrees you will not have major problems , can you get an analogical thermometer? in this cases they are safer, put one inside the incubator...

Yes, I don't know whether the temp was below 30c but the alarm would not go off. The temp reading was fluctuating all over the place. I was supposed to be able to set the minimum temp but its factory set at 30c and then I can set it lower which is backwards. I am returning this one and getting one with a digital thermometer so I don't have this problem again. Throwing out 56 eggs and starting over hurts.

Don´t return it yet, wait until the 21 /24 th day and them if some chicks are born better(keep turning the eggs and watch for water levels)buy an analogical thermometer ,56 eggs are to much to quit ... wait a few days (10 days) and seen in the light if the chicks are developing
