Yeah, I've been carefully inspecting the rest of the flock three times a day... always listening for raspy breathing. I've seen no others that appear to be plagued by this ailment.
Some of my chickens are sick. It's not coryza as there's no foul odor... so I'm assuming it's CRD.
They've been separated for around 5 days now from the flock. They all got shots of Tylan 200 for 3 days. Though, I'm kinda worried... should I have used Baytril for this instead? We had the Tylan...
Not to take over this thread or anything, but some of my chickens have the same thing. It's not coryza as there's no foul odor... so I'm assuming it's CRD - which sucks!

Awww... now those are what Golden Sebrights are supposed to look like. My little badly-bred one looks horrible compared to your beauties!
Congrats - they're gorgeous!!
Yeah - a lot of my eggs look like this... but all of my chickens are brown egg layers... *hehe* (except for my Bantams & my three Leghorns). I don't know - they're getting their laying mash & their oyster shells.... I guess I can just crack it up to the changing of the season & the shorter days...
Here's pics of my two. They aren't exactly recent... these were taken this past March -- don't mind how "nice" & dirty they are.
Remington - Percheron/TB gelding
Aetna - Percheron mare
I don't think the little black one is a Black Sex-Link -- wouldn't she have golden flecking on her chest if she was? And also shouldn't she have black legs? Of course - I've seen Black Stars that look similar to her & they're a type of Sex-Link.
I just don't know what she is... maybe I'll just...
My Light Brahmas & my Cochins have yet to start laying. Could I possibly just be confusing the eggs I'm getting with some of theirs? They're all about a year old & the person I got them from said he wasn't getting many eggs from them. I know they don't officially mature until they're around...
My thoughts....
It was a tough decision, but I think your Brahma is a roo. I don't know... I just get a roo vibe from him.. and that curl to his tail feathers is pretty convincing. How old is he, though?
And these are purely guesses, since I don't own any Silkies...
Silkie #1 - Roo
Silkie #2...
I'd go with some Silver-Laced Wyandottes.... but that's me. Both are beautiful breeds. Both breeds are known to be quite calm. Maybe get some of both?! *hehe*
