Hello,
My chicks are currently four weeks old. They're on a starter/grower formula and get occassional treats. So far they tried meal worms (love) strawberries (love) arugula (favorite) and some other kitchen scraps in small amounts. They have a dish of chick grit in with them. I was wondering...
So, I know you're not supossed to use cedar shavings for bedding in a chicken coop.
I've been converting an old (10 years+) workshop into my coop. My boyfriend just mentioned today that he thinks part of the shelving in the new coop may be cedar, based on smell. Will this still be a problem...
Hi,
I was wondering how old my wellie needs to be before I can confirm sex based on her feathering. She's three and half weeks now, and her chest appears to be coming in salmon not black, but I wasn't sure if it could still turn at this point? :confused:This is my first batch of chicks. :D
I was wondering how old my Dom needs to be before the more experienced people would be able to confirm her sex by looking at her feathers. I know the boys have more white and the girls more black, but don't have a good base of knowledge to tell. She's three and half weeks now. Thanks!
BYC literally went off line the days my chicks arrived, so I haven't had a chance to show them off. Here's my little Dominique girl (just hatchery stock). She's my sweetest chick.
