They are called "Whole Oats".
I get the from the local feed store. Ask when you buy them if
they will germinate.
$12.65 for 50 pounds. (Triple cleaned Racehorse Oats.)
I grow mine outside. I made a small hoop house out of
pvc pipe and clear plastic. I have a strand of Christmas lights in there...
I have been sprouting oats and brown top millet.
They prefer the warm Florida weather.
Sorghum is also another seed I am trying now. Sprouts fast.
If you keep it rinsed good you shouldn't have mold.
Good drainage is a must. I rinse twice a day. So far so good.

I want to tell all who have lost their precious hens to this awful condition how sorry I am for your loss and also to the poor hens who have had to live and die with this condition, it makes my heart hurt with sadness for what people have caused with their Genetic Modifications to animals.

Good Luck to you.

They are all free range & can make their own choices.
They are territorial & certain places in the back yard belong to them.
I have a couple of silkie hens that hang with the big girls.
(They are the exception to the rule.) The...

If there is a live chick in there, the egg will float & you will see the egg gently rock back and forth.
(Don't take your eyes off the egg, sometimes only happens briefly.)
I'm not saying to give up if that...
