So, I've seen some pretty crazy homemade hamster cages (or mansions!) and I love to see if any of you have some amazing hamster houses! Post pictures and tell us how you made them so maybe we can try too! Thanks
I've had my hamster, Rhino, for awhile now, and there's sometimes where she's a little friendly and will climb onto my hand, but always tries to run away from me. I'll hold treats on my hand, and she'll just stuff them in her cheeks and run away! I'm not really sure how to tame her. Any ideas?
I have a veryyy strong love for animals and I constantly see the effects of animal abuse whether it be a domestic animal, wild animal, or farm animal raised for food. I would really love to help save abused animals, but I'm not sure what I can do. I can't take in any animals, but I want to help...
I just recently got a hamster finally! Her name is Rhino But anyways, I got her a nice tank and wire cage made to fit on top of the tank and plenty of chew toys, a wheel, two water bottles, a ball, two huts and food of course. But she STILL chews on her cage! It's not even only the wire part...
For the past few days, I have experienced increasing numbness on the right side of my right ankle. A few days ago, I told my boyfriend so he tried pinching it. I did not notice what he was doing until he pointed it out to me several moments later. It has been spreading more and becoming more...
I went to the food store today because I was fresh out of duck food, and they were also fresh out of the grower. So they gave me layer crumbles instead. Of course they didn't mention it and I noticed when I got home. My ducklings are only 8 weeks old and they live with their mom and dad. Should...
Are ducklings okay to live on shavings? Our babies keep eating them, and if they could be bad for them, I would like to know as soon as possible if hay would be better. Thank you!
The babies pipped! They're breathing from the air sac!! I forget how many hours from this stage they should start hatching. It's been more than a year since I did this. But I am soooo excited!! I'm like jumping up and down. This means sooo much to me.
^^that doesn't even cover it haha
9 more days left!!!
i've counted and she has 16 eggs, or at least around 16, she seems to hide them and most are looking good with veins and movement except for around 2 or 3 last time i checked, but i'm leaving it up to her.
Come on Pepper!!

Was the day she stayed away so long a very warm day? Somehow they seem to know when they can leave the nest and when to get back.
yes, she normally leaves the nest the longest on the really warm days. funny how she just knows they'll be okay.
My little Cayuga, Pepper, went broody on cinco de mayo (May 5th) and has been dutifully sitting on her eggs. Her mate, Toby, convinces her to get up off her nest and go swimming for a short period of time, but one day she forgot to come back home. Yikes! I was certain she had given up and all...
Anybody have pictures of some pekin/cayuga crosses? my cayuga female just went broody and if she keeps it up, she'll have pekin/cayuga babies around June 2nd, and i'd love to see what they'll look like!
i agree, life without my feathered web-feeted friends would be impossible. but lets see, things ive learned from them...

I had just woken up from my nap, and it was around 5. i went out and started getting the ducks ready for bed. they were happily swimming in the pond and i was watching them and smiling and laughing at them. when suddenly i saw a dark animal running around the edge of the pond. at first, i...
