They've always been kept in a cool area of the house but our outdoor temps can drop into double figures (C) below freezing.

Based upon what Hokankai has said, I've prepared a couple of charts for myself - which I hope others might find useful. You'll note that a weight chart using an imperial scale is dreadfully difficult since 1oz is such a coarse measurement (on an average 2oz egg).
