My jake's right eye was foaming yesterday morning so I bought some Tylan 50 and gave him 2cc orally yesterday evening. When I gave it to him I noticed there wasn't any foam over his eye then, but don't want to take chances. With people antibiotics are given for a 10 day period. Do we do the same...
Thank you. We have two turkeys with our flock of chickens, ducks, and guineas, and it's always good to know cures like this. We have a bag of dried ceyennes. If needed, I can always put some through my spice grinder (old blade type coffee mill).
Carney, our araucana, laid her first eggs this week. She laid this one Friday.
She laid this one Sunday morning.
Here's her picture.
She seemed like she was a little sleepy when I took this picture.

I don't mind vegetarians except the ones who have a holier than thou attitude about it. With some it's become a religion unto itself.

My wife still cooks like that. She's from Korea so she makes kimchi and bulgogi from scratch. Several of our friends and relatives have begged for her recipes, but she just does it by why she knows will taste good. That's how she learned it from her mom.
At one time I had 80 cookbooks. I still have more than I care to count, plus a binder I put together of recipes I downloaded. I also have a handwritten cookbook by a great aunt.
Here's my breakfast sausage recipe. You can adjust the herbs and spices to your liking. To make it a sage sausage, you would add more sage. http://www.siloutdoors.com/showthread.php?13095-Indiana-Farm-Sausage
Raccoon #6 has been dispatched. This time it was a youngun. On a side note, the cheap broadheads that Walmart sells that say "razor sharp" aren't. They would not penetrate fired from a 45# bow at close range. I dug out one of my Muzzies and was in business.
