Looks like oatmeal raisin to me.

He’s just out in the open? Here, a hawk would make quick work of him.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Yeah, I’m a glutton for punishment. I’m on the hunt for some type of OEGB kinda bird. My rooster guy has BB red and fawn duckwing but don’t have enough to start selling them yet. I’m keeping my peepers open and ears too. Rooster guy is coming back for more roosters and all my year old hens. I’m...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Yep. I finally got my blues and splash. They were so annoying. The rooster wouldn’t roost with the hens and the hens wouldn’t lay. I never witnessed him breeding, not once. I told them they would be on the next chicken truck out of here and I wasn’t playing.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

My first batch of roosters just went down the driveway along with the remaining BCs (hens & roo). 🥳

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I saw BooBoo riding on the back of a golf cart one day. Unfortunately I’m not very quick with the old camera.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

That is not BooBoo! I have been living at Jellystone for the last seven months. I’m an expert at this point.🐻

Ima treat this like the bear thing. Stay away from snake heads, attached or not.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I saw that one! Dude was shooting in the air instead of into the bear.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Definitely a good harvest especially being my 2nd year making any kind of honey.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Yeah but my “peak season” numbers can’t compare to your “over winter” numbers. Here’s the new king of the Island of Rhodes for next year. Mr Floppy

    The Wally-Gee Bee Journey 🐝

I never gave an update on the rest of the honey harvest. The very next weekend I pulled 2 deep supers. In total from both weekends was a little over 15 gallons of honey!

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Oh he knows I have them. He’s a stickler for them being at least 5 months and he doesn’t live very far away. My big boys just surprised him last year. I can dream. I’m ready to get down to my winter time numbers.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I have 2 pullets laying now 😁. Those 2 started laying at 4 months! 🙀. I’m about 2 weeks away from unloading my first batch of roosters. Hopefully when he comes, he will see the younger ones and take them too! 😬 Last year he came for 5 month old birds and brought small cages coz he was expecting...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Speaking of broody hens, after hatching, handling, breeding, selling, trading and any other chicken activity you might have think of… I have my very first broody Rhode Island Red. I think this is my 4th year to breed RIRs. She’s a beast! Reminds me of my Black Australorps. What a broody batch of...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I have a guy like that but he pays me a little bit for my trouble and feed. He takes them to auction and probably gets a nice profit.

The bees are pros at fixing our mistakes. I’m so glad you finally get to enjoy the fruits of your labor! As far as knives go, I would look for a longer bread knife. I know the YT guys are not the end all be all, but I have seen one of them use a hot knife once. He then reverted back to the bread...
