Hi there, I am very interested in WH's, so I may be contacting you. I won't be hatching until the weather gets warmer, so springtime but I am certainly going to keep your info at hand and in a few months I will check in to see if you're still producing fertile eggs, Thanks! -

I know of Metzer farms, eFowl, and Murray Mcmurray Hatchery, but all require about/at least 10 eggs for a hatching minimum. I am not concerned about the price its just that I am only looking to hatch a few ducklings, maybe 4 or 5 and do not want to buy fertilized eggs and then not use them and... -
Best Yard Duck Breed?
I am considering hatching my own (and first) ducks in the spring and am wondering what breeds people consider to be the most docile, friendly, best 'yard' duck?? If anyone has a particular breed they are a fan of please let me know :) thanks -

pekinduck<3er : cayugas! lol cayuga are beautiful and quiet and nice,saxonies are nice looking and are good meat ducks and lay white shelled eggs,appleyards are very good meat birds and are almost as handsome as the cayugas,rouens are great meat birds and look exactlylike the common mallard and... -

Kaufmann's Backyard Farm : Cayugas are the quietest ducks I have ever seen. They don't really quack, it is a different sound even. They are very pretty in the sunshine too with all the colors in their feathers. As of now these are the top ducks im considering; Cayugas, saxonies, appleyards... -
