Duck house out of brick?
You could also leave a 'patterned' gap in the bricks as you lay them, allowing ventilation there as well. you could even 'brick' the hardware cloth into those gaps as you build. -

actual house dimensions are about 3x4' (sorry meant to include it before) The attached pen will not be as predator proof as I would like, so yeah, I considered that of the porch. -

Ok, so these ducklings were sold to me as Pastel Call Ducks.... Are they? The 2 larger ducks are about 5 weeks old, and the smaller one is about 4 weeks. -

Puppy Pad in place now.... The smallest one decided to take a swim in the water jug this morning!! Guess I made the hole too big.... I havent done anything about sharp edges yet, but considering putting some duct tape over them.... -
