1) What type of bird , age and weight. --whynndotte- heavy, less than a yr
2) What is the behavior, exactly. -- lethargic, kept her eyes closed most of the time, very sickening smell, poop on feathers, when she poops it is foamy , mostly clear, but has some bright bright green parts to it

i kinda do not think that they are broilers. most CX are at 6-8 lbs at 7 weeks.... mine were and we processed at 8 weeks. I think these are production reds - egg layers. Still, tho, if they are roos, you can certainly use them for fryers around 15-19 weeks! Hope this helps and hey, I am...
i think the dark one may be a roo (thick legs, looks like saddles and hackle growing in plus the really red comb) , but the one with more white in the head area may be pullet.( feathering still undeterminate, skinnier legs, lighter pinky-orange comb) ---- could be a pullet or could be a slower...
she has not laid any eggs in 2 months or more...she hatched chicks 4 weeks ago.
she does not show any symptoms that are outlined in the link you posted about an inbound egg (TY for posting that great info!)
day 4, still very stinky and less of a yellow ring, but the ring was still there...
I have a silkie hen(non - egg laying b.c. she just had a hatch) ... that is showing all signs of normalicy, except that she has a fetid odor -- upon closer inspection...there is a gooey yellow ring around her vent. I wipe it off daily, pour hydrogen peroxide on her vent. This has been going...
put a light in there for a few days to train them of where to go... this worked like a charm for my lil' uns.... I only used the light for about 5 nights and then they got the hang of it!
i thought wyandottes had a pea comb ( like your last pic) ... i dunno what is going on w. the first two pics--but then again-- i am no expert on wyandottes.
beautiful bird,btw... last one is DEF a hen!
First, YES they will destroy your garden...so make sure you fence it off before letting them free range.
Secondly, I live on 5 ac---- the hens will NEVER venture more than say 100 ft from their coop... I do not know why really and they NEVER cross the road... DUNNO why on that either. I...
my ten weekers are crowing... :-( One of my 10 weekers has glossy saddles coming in, the other one does not....so saddles are hard to tell at this age.
guess you will just have to listen up in the AM!
since you didn't mention crowing, i cast my vote for hen.
