Time to get serious. I can offer a small glimmer of hope. I have three 14 week old cockerels running around. Different breeds from your guy/gal, but one is a very late developing breed, all with sure 'nuff saddle feathers present.

Would really like to see a better side pic of your bird and to find out what the tips of the hackle feathes are shaped like. In pic #1, they look pointed?

I'll get you a photo when he wakes up. I really wouldn't send him I like him alot. None of my adult hens seem upset my him. Wouldn't they be chasing him/

Not if he is behaving himself so far. I had one of my boys get his fluffy butt kicked all over the barnyard by a fluffy little silkie hen tonight. He's about 5 X bigger than she is. She said no. She meant it. He didn't listen.

my ten weekers are crowing... :-( One of my 10 weekers has glossy saddles coming in, the other one does not....so saddles are hard to tell at this age.

guess you will just have to listen up in the AM!

since you didn't mention crowing, i cast my vote for hen.
