Rouen. He hasn't been the nicest, so I'm nt sure if I can get a photo. But they are 3 white feathers coming in right above the ankle. They look like vary pin feathers, with a small amount of fluff. He is 6 months.
Maybe that's why he's snotty lol
I first thought it was dry skin. So I went to pull it off, but it didn't come off. I looked closer and there are 3 pin feathers growing out of his right foot!, right above his ankle.
Ummm....ok...
I have separated him from us. I really have been trying. He's my baby and I absolutely hate that he's acting like this.
I am avoiding craigslist because I don't want him to end up on someone's wall or dinner.(this is duck hunting territory)
Yes, north east north Dakota .
He is a Rouen, about 6 months old. Still in mating plumage.
He has been around other ducks and is good with them. He has been an outside duck and will do good indoors and outdoors.
I have tried punishing him. Seems the harder I punish him, the harder he...
Donald is just getting too aggressive for an indoor duck. He keeps nipping me and my husband. I tried the flatten him out thing and he listens for a while then goes back to biting.
He would prolly be happy with a hen. Is anyone interested in him? I live in NE ND. P
I posted Donny was nippy and had attitude. And I have been doing the smooching to the floor and stretching out his neck thing (did it 2x so far).
Now every time I hold my hand out he bows his head to it. Won't bite me! So aim thinking it worked! He was on my lap earlier today and I was petting...

I 'm sorry but that just hit me funny.. and by the way I have had to do this on my duckling too he's 3 months, and he has gotten much better.
Lol what? He takes a bath after dinner. Not weird at all! He's a little spoiled.
Rouen, and I got him as a newborn in march so roughly 6 months
He doesn't nip the kids at all. Just me and my husband. Edit, and the dog. The dog can be just laying on the couch sleeping and Donny will come up and bite him.
Oh and something else he does, us if I hold my hand out he will 'bow'...
...So I grabbed his beak and held it shut telling him NO! Until he stopped fighting me, and relaxed. I let him go and he ran off.
Is this normal teenage/ young drake behavior? Or is he just turning into an *** hole. It kind of feels like a dominance battle between me and him (I'm female by...
Haha no he stayed in the hotel room. He is an indoor / diapered duck, so he just hung out, and watched tv / ate the toilet paper (thats his new favorite snack lately ). I didn't bring him to the mall itself. Lol. That would be awesome if they allowed animals though!!
I find it funny now...
Haha, yeah, he was reading teen ducks.
Oh yeah ducks puke. They puke, then shake their heads splashing it everywhere. My kids had it on them....it was nasty.
He was perfectly fine before and after the puke. He ate fine and didnt throw up sence. He has thrown up only twice, and both times...
Took my duck on a 5 hr drive to mall of America with the kids. We were IN Bloomington and I hear 'eeeeeeewwwww! Duck puke' come from the back seat. (he was sitting on the floor under the kids feet). I look back, and there oatmeal chunks coating the floor. Then not 5 min later, he did it again...
Mine does it too. I thought he was hungry or hypoglycemic and fed him. But he does it even after he eats... So I am thinking it's duck language for excited.
