Donald is just getting too aggressive for an indoor duck. He keeps nipping me and my husband. I tried the flatten him out thing and he listens for a while then goes back to biting.

He would prolly be happy with a hen. Is anyone interested in him? I live in NE ND. P

What kind of duck is he?
How old is he?
I would love him but I cant have a inside ducks or anymore ducks total.

and where is he located? or did i miss that? ummm yup....not sure of the initials?

I'm sorry to hear that Donald won't learn respect. My Opie will bite and I bring him up and lay him upside down and he's pretty good for at least 2 0r 3 days then he starts again, they are trying out their dominance. I did put Opie outside now, he has been doing much better, he still likes to come in to visit but does seem to do better if outside.

Yes, north east north Dakota

.

He is a Rouen, about 6 months old. Still in mating plumage.

He has been around other ducks and is good with them. He has been an outside duck and will do good indoors and outdoors.

I have tried punishing him. Seems the harder I punish him, the harder he bites. I have smacked his bill when he bites, and he lunges at me.

Have you tried time out with him? When he acts up put him in a crate. They want to be with you or their flock, so separating is a punishment. Just don't make it hours long. 10-15 minutes and see how he is when let back out.

I agree. I don't believe I would swat his bill-he really doesn't know what that means. He's too young to be trained to understand the house rules.
Put him on Craigslist.
