The black one with the red shoulders looks like a boy and I'm questioning the bigger red and blue (gray) one, just based on the comb shape and color.

No, I'm pretty positive they are both boys.

Yes, I agree with that. I was thinking the same thing.

thank you. I have Someone to come to buy boys, and I’ll be so upset if one of them is a girl. I’m not good at telling the wing thing we’re looking at the cloacas bc they all of the same to me.

Wing feather sexing only works on birds that have been specially bred for it and only at a much younger age. Vent sexing also needs to be done within the first few days after hatching, can be very hard to interpret (even hatcheries that employ experienced professionals only claim to get it right about 9 times out of 10, and don't always manage even that) and carries a risk of injuring the chick if you don't know how to do it.

Are they definitely only six weeks old?

i could never get the wing thing down or the vent thing. all is the damn same.
i forget how old honestly, probably two months. everyone was broody i had to take them and just wanted to incubate them and see if they were actually fertile. andddd they were.

i like doing those kinds of experiments.
not cruel or gross experiments.

just things i haven’t myself seen yet.

had one broody bird, well 3, sit on 8 eggs. the cochin had 4, the sapphire gem/silkie had 4, the sapphire gem had none but was broody. so i let them sit until one hatched and put the cochin and sapphire/silkie in a clear smaller coop to keep everyone away. removed the broody one that had no eggs. all of the sapphire/silkies hatched. the cochina were 2 not fertile and 2 pipped but she must’ve suffocated them 😭😭
so i took her out which she was pissseeddd. bc the babies were all hatched and she’d act motherly but the real mom would get mad. they jump on her back and cuddle in her feathers but i still had to remove her. so sad.

they’re still in the little coop. mom won’t leave but the babies are to small i’m scared one will find a small hole somewhere. but i think they’ll stay close to mom, idk what to do. i let the roosters out around 10-11, it’s 8am now. i let them roam once and this chicken is ruthless cant believe she’s so nice to her babies. she attacks every bird who is close to her or looking at her weird. tried to fight my dog shes crayyyy.
so sorry for rambling. but she has 4, idk if she can keep up with them if i let them out. she doesn’t try to leave.
what do you think?

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're asking here. If it's not about the birds in your OP it might be best to start a separate thread so more people see it.
