I get my Polyvisol from Amazon.com SO much cheaper. I was having a hard time finding the one with out iron in the stores, and when I did, it was over $11. Here is the link ...
Want to make sure I have this right. If have Gold Laced Cochin Roos over Light Brahma hens, would that make sexlinks? How would I tell male from female? Thanks!
Well I have had quite the eventful morning. Went out around 9:30am to check on the chickens feeders as I was getting ready to go in Seattle with my MIL. As I was headed to the Cochin yard I caught sight of a coyote on the other side of their yard! Not sure but it may have been the same one that...
I agree with dretd. Once I get some Cream Legbars, if I had questions about them meeting the proposed SOP I would come here to ask. You all have done such a great job hashing out the details of the SOP. If I had questions about breeding them I would more than likely choose a different thread...
hello, I just found this thread a couple days ago and have enjoyed reading the posts. I am looking forward to learning as much about the Cream Legbar as possible, and will hopefully be able to get a flock of them in the next year. Keep up the excellent work!
I love the Grange! It's only 15 minutes from my home...VERY dangerous! My DH said he is going to take my car keys away starting Friday, because that is when they get their first chick shipment. I'm a sucker for those little fluffy chicks!
Thank you for the advice. I just finished checking him over. I didn't see or feel anything unusual. I was adjusting the tarp over their run when I noticed him huddled in the corner so maybe it is an injury.
HELP!
I posted in the emergency section, but thought I'd ask here too. I hope that is ok.
DH and I where adjusting the tarp over the Spitz run this afternoon when I noticed the 13 week old cockerel huddled in the corner. The other two (also 13 weeks old) were freaking out because we were moving...
I have a 12 week old Spitz cockerel that as of this afternoon can not stand. When I gently pull his legs out, he pulls them back under him. He extends them out when I lift him, but he can not support himself. The other 2 in the coop with him are fine as of right now. His crop is full just like...
Oh also, my mom has a nice bird cage she is selling. It housed her Quaker Parrot until he passed of a heart attack She is ready to let it go now, and is asking $100. If any one is interested PM me. Thanks!
Wow, seems a lot has been going down since the last time I got on here! Going to have to try to catch up later. Just wanted to say HI!! and share some exciting news... Today was my FIRST 3 egg day since getting my 5 hens from ChickieLady!!! SOOOO Excited! Now to figure out if the drop in eggs...
Jessica, here is the blue and gold bell I bought from CR at the Salem show. I need to get a hanger from him since the one we had won't work. I love the tone of this one, not as high pitched as the old cow bell at the front door right now.
