Dirty Bottom and Maybe slightly red poop?

Hiya, These chickens flew into our garden a week apart about 3 months ago, when I put pictures on here it was guessed at around the 3/4 month mark and a light Sussex. About three weeks her poo went red (not blood red) but I thought it was the multi vits in her water which has iron and red in...

    Worming Chickens

Hi! I'm interested to hear what people use when worming chickens. I haven't worked ours yet as haven't had long and they weren't planned!! They found us. So do I treat the chickens with anything even if they don't have worms? I read it's a 6 monthly thing but I'm unsure of what products to...

Breed Suggestions - A month on

The white hen has white legs with a faint tint of pink (if I remember correctly as she's asleep now.) but yes the black one sounds and looks very much of a barred rock and I have some reading to do now! This forum is great! Your help is appreciated.

Breed Suggestions - A month on

It was a month ago I posted to find out breed, the responses were most definitely a light Sussex for the white one but I had mixed responses for the black hen, most people suggesting a cuckoo maran. So a month has gone by and Dotty looks so much better than she did since she arrived! Does...

Neighbours dogs and keeping chickens safe

I wasn't sure what breeds they were but I did post on here when they arrived and we were told possibly a light Sussex and also a cuckoo maran and age wise possibly a pullet from what I've heard. The dogs are outside majority of the day and they aren't aggressive but you wouldn't trust them with...
