Thank you all for the “sue them or call the police advice”.
That is not what this post is about. While I appreciate the advice, our chosen course of action is to rehome them.
Please only comment if you are in the 01432 area and interested in taking them.
Unfortunately I have to rehome our 8 2-year old layers because our neighbor’s dogs keep breaking their fence and attacking my girls.

Thanks! We had one roo, up above, second to last chicken picture, black and white, with brown speckles all over him, and those tell-tale tail feathers starting to arch over, and the greenish pointy saddle feathers. We gave him away to a farm that breeds ee's. Thanks for the comments about the...
Welcome to our coop page. This is a 4'x6' plywood raised coop, that is 18" above ground. The pop door opens into a fully roofed, enclosed 5'x10' pen, with run space under the coop as well. We haven't excavated for the pen yet, that will be soon. The coop will sit slightly under the hanging...

Haven't tasted it yet, had to crack it open to see it.. We'll cook it tomorrow... The yolk is beautiful golden yellow, I'm sure it's delicious...
Shay, do you remember the EE roo that you took this August at the meetup?
Do you still have him? My kids were curious what he looks like now.
Thanks!

No, I totally agree, especially from a generational/breeding standpoint, you don't want to breed aggressiveness towards humans. Mean rooster dumplings sound great! LOL We didn't even keep our perfectly friendly roo. we re-homed him simply because we wanted 6 layers, and no...
My hens wake up with natural light at about 6am and go to bed with their extended lighting, in the run and coop. In the coop we have a 25w inc, and in the run a 60 watt incandescent both on the same X10 timer. It comes on at 4pm (1/2 hour before dusk is the setting) and at 7pm, they dim about...
you can certainly train a bad (aggressive toward you/dd) roo to be better, you have to make him know that you and DD are boss. I would carry a broom with you, and if he comes at you, swat him (don't hurt him) with it, for a few times, don't turn your back on him, and maintain eye contact. Eye...
I had a young chicken laying under the hanging food bucket... she'd be eating, then plop, out it came... then she'd just keep eating. I had to take an easter egg, lead her up the ramp and into the coop then nest boxes with her wanting to see/peck the easter egg, and put it in the box for her...
Would you gift to a stranger? I would only gift to friends, neighbors and family, and people I know. All the eggs I've given as gifts/thank you's, have been warmly received and appreciated. I would think that as long as they are free of 'debris' on the outside of the eggs, as most come out...
From Home Depot I got one of those $2 front door mats, black one, about 16"x 24" and cut into 3 strips, makes 3 box liners. works great! and since it's indoor/outdoor, it can be hosed off and won't make a mess.
heheh 'dirty birds' LOL!
I have two white birds, one an ee, one a rock, and they are both constantly getting pooped on in the run.. I have a roost up high in the pen, and one slightly underneath it...Don't you know that if someone's up high, the white ones will be down below and they are...
Well, to start, I have 6 chickens, first started laying in september and they've all steadily been starting since then. We have 5 EE/Ameraucanas, and one Columbian Rock. The columbian rock lays big beautiful brown eggs, and this morning, when we opened up the pen for the day there was her egg...
