    You should get a goose. Ours herd our chickens to safety every night, and protect them from other harms, too--e.g. today we had a bit of a windstorm, and the geese put everyone inside while the trees were swaying.

    It's a Silkie X Wyandotte! I'm not sure who the mother is, possibly Pug or Pharaoh, but it's got dark grey/black skin, 5 toes, and feathered legs! Hurrah! Father is a white silkie, mother is SLW. We've dubbed "her" Thisbe! She is a target for the paparazzi--she cannot come out from underneath...
