    It's been awhile since I have been here. Working at TSC. I would like to know what is the best chicken breed book? I would like to be better informed on breeds so I can help customers.     Hen straining and in pain - egg bound or vent gleet?

    The Chicks (6) we got Feb 28th used a regular chick waterer(kept at shoulder height) and had a horizontal waterer in the brooder also. They were 3 weeks when they started using the horizontal waterer. As soon as I saw they were able to use the horizontal I removed the regular chick waterer.
