Hello All:
Due to the HUGE increased on flock feed in the stores I would like to find another way to get my flock feed. Where do you all purchase your feed? I went to a mill store that had great reviews and after a long drive the prices were very expensive and didn't have much inventory.. I...
No, I guess I need to read more about how to properly hatch duck eggs. I put them in the incubator set the temp at 99.5 and humidity in the 50's and 70's during lock down. I didn't realized I needed to spray water and cool them down. I guess it makes sense because mamma duck usually are wet for...
Good luck! I had a great experience hatching turkey eggs in the Nurture 360 incubator. I got 100% hatching rate, they hatched a couple days before day 28 and they are superfast hatching. As soon you see a little crack within 5 min they are out of the shell.
THANK YOU so much for your reply. I didn't know ducks could take 3 days to hatch. Guess what? One of the ducklings finally hatched Friday night. However, it took for ever poor thing. I am glad I got three little ducklings that Friday so this little fella is not alone. I was able to candled the...
Hello,
This is the first year that I have use Nurture 360 incubator and so far this is my experience :
With chicks and turkeys 100% hatch . However duck eggs (rouen mix with runner ) so far nothing . I started with 6 duck eggs. I had tree quitters . So far I have 3 eggs in the incubator , hatch...
She is doing better . I found out that she has gout . I am not giving her any treats for now just her pellets . She still has the swollen but not as bad and she seems more active . I continue with the epsom salt.
Thanks for asking ☺️
Update :
In case this information helps someone who has a bird with same symptoms as mine. She has gout. Basically eating too much treats. She needs to only eat her layer food and keep soaking her feet in Epson salt. There is a medication called Allopurinol that helps with gout in chickens but...
Hello I have a hen that has swollen feet, ankle and knees. She does not limp and she eats and drink fine . I can tell she is uncomfortable because she likes to perch a lot ( maybe because feet hurt ). I have been soaking her legs in warm water with epsom salt . I don’t think is bumble foot...

I am in LOVE with my Nurture Right 360 incubator. First time ever using an incubator. All the fertile eggs hatched. Total 7 turkeys and 5 chickens. I thought it will be harder to clean with all those water conduits . I used an organic cleaner ( water and vinegar) all the yuk came off very...
Update:
Turkeys are faster hatching than chicks. so far turkey 4 chicks 0. The hatch day it was supposed to be tomorrow. I have one chicken egg with a bean size hole and I can see the chick pushing from inside so Hopefully it will hatch today. However, my question is how long can the baby...
Hatch day should be tomorrow but these two cute baby turkeys decided to come out a day early. I saw a couple other turkey eggs with a little tinny hole so their siblings are trying to come out too. Chicken eggs still nothing, hopefully today or tomorrow.
Hello so it is Lockdown time!!!!!!!
This is my first time hatching chicks in an incubator. I got a Nurture right 360 and today they are on day 2 to hatch. As a newbie I have a few questions that I will really appreciate if I can get help:
So far the humidity is 68% both vents (A & B) have...
Hello,
Does anyone sell gosling? I was wanting to add a protector to my flock. I don't mind any breed that is not too loud . I live in SouthWest of Indy, willing to drive.
Thanks
I am not an expert but if it was my chick I wouldn't touch it, I am sure that but he/she moving it will come off. BTW good picture showing the veins inside the egg. wow nice.
Hello all,
I have a question.. do you suggest putting a soft liner in the incubator before they hatch or will they be ok without it? Also, to put a soft liner I would have to get all the eggs out, put the liner and placed the eggs back inside the incubator. Wouldn't the change of temperature...
