Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Thanks!! And thanks for making it a better experience by answering my questions. It’s very generous of you all.

Of course we took her out and cuddled her! Am I going to hatching hell? Probably.

She’s still on her own, peep peeping away, and when we take her out she’s quiet. There are a couple of pips now so hopefully she’ll have company soon.

We named her after my sister since they share a birthday. Will be a funny name if it’s a cockerel.

Edit: I’m keeping the ambient humidity higher than the incubator humidity

Hello,
This is the first year that I have use Nurture 360 incubator and so far this is my experience :
With chicks and turkeys 100% hatch . However duck eggs (rouen mix with runner ) so far nothing . I started with 6 duck eggs. I had tree quitters . So far I have 3 eggs in the incubator , hatch day was yesterday and so far nothing . One egg has a couple small cracks since yesterday so it was attempting to hatch . I will leave the eggs in the incubator today but if they don’t hatch by tomorrow morning . I guess I’ll assume they quit as well. Have any of you had bad experience with duck eggs hatching in this incubator ? The temp has been 99.5 and humidity high 50’ s and during lock down in the 70’s.
Thanks

Hatching waterfowl is altogether a different experience. It's unlikely to be the Incubator since you're having successful hatches. What procedures did you follow for the duck eggs? Did you spray them? Do a cooling period? Another thing I've learned about waterfowl is that they are SLOW hatchers. So don't give up on your ducklings so quickly. It can take goslings up to 3 days to hatch. It's not quick like chicken chicks. Ducks are faster than geese, but that's about the only thing they're faster than, lol.

THANK YOU so much for your reply. I didn't know ducks could take 3 days to hatch. Guess what? One of the ducklings finally hatched Friday night. However, it took for ever poor thing. I am glad I got three little ducklings that Friday so this little fella is not alone. I was able to candled the remaining two eggs and I think they are quitters. I didn't see any movement. However, I will still leave them in the incubator today just in case, if not I will unplug the incubator tonight. My experience hatching ducklings was not good at all. All my 6 eggs were fertilized and after waiting near a month, I only got one and it took for ever to hatch. Oh well!

Thanks again! :)

got my first set of turkey eggs in the incubator! super excited to see how it goes :) (temp was low in first pic cause it was still heating up)
Good luck! I had a great experience hatching turkey eggs in the Nurture 360 incubator. I got 100% hatching rate, they hatched a couple days before day 28 and they are superfast hatching. As soon you see a little crack within 5 min they are out of the shell.

Did you spray the eggs or do a cooling period? Waterfowl require different care to lose the appropriate amount of weight to hatch well.

No, I guess I need to read more about how to properly hatch duck eggs. I put them in the incubator set the temp at 99.5 and humidity in the 50's and 70's during lock down. I didn't realized I needed to spray water and cool them down. I guess it makes sense because mamma duck usually are wet for swimming.
