If you don’t mind, please advise.
I have a couple of white splash Swedish ducks sitting on eggs. They shared a nest at first, then decided to separate into two nests, side by side. The last week or so, we keep finding babies dead, that appear to have just hatched as they’re still wet. The...
I have two pilgrim geese, male & female. The gander was sweet, until mating season (I do understand that’s normal) now he tries to kill chickens, ducks, even donkeys if he’s feeling real brave. Not too mean to humans, mostly wants to mate with our legs. My question…. Is this just normal gander...
Thank you!! She seems to be doing alright, we are hopeful. It also doesn’t seem to have penetrated too far, likely my husband is to thank for that. He disrupted a dog mid attack but he didn’t think it got anyone… now I guess we know it did. I really wish people would take care of their dogs.
Yeah, what timing. We are having a fence put up this week… until then we are only letting them out to free range when we can be with them. They’ll hate it, but they won’t hate being safe.
She is doing so well today. She wouldn’t eat or drink last night or this morning so I brought another khaki in and neither would eat. I brought them outside and she resumed eating and drinking right away. She does seem a little sore but otherwise she’s foraging with the other ducks

Its smaller than quarter sized and it doesn’t appear to have gone very deep, just below the skin. She’s in a small coop on her own right now, because she’s so skittish I think being inside was causing her more stress.
Okay. With help inspecting we found a wound? Not much of one but feathers missing under her wing. Very little blood but still blood. It doesn’t seem like a serious wound, do you think her behavior is shock?
So she’s been in the tub for about 15 minutes and she did poop once. That means she’s not egg bound right?
The only other thing is, a dog came in our yard today (a fence is going up this week) and one of the khakis was cornered, hard to tell which one. Found she just be in shock? Maybe she is...
Hello. I have a khaki Campbell I did not raise but we have had for about 2 months. We actually have 3. They seemed pretty healthy, nothing prior to now. They DO NOT like to be picked up at all, and we have never actually been able to catch one before now. When we went out to clean the coop...
Thanks! This is great advice! I did actually add 3 khakis, at least one being a khaki/pekin mix. They integrated so easily but they are super flighty in comparison to the pekins we already had. Same kind of thing, tripping over each other to get away. They have just started eating when I throw...
