Okay! Thank you so much! She is basically ignoring the eggs but I wasn't sure if that meant she was waiting until she had more gathered up to sit on? I have no idea how this works.
Hello! I am completely new to Serama and hatching chicks. Up until now I have ordered chicks and have never seen one hatch. I have a Serama trio (2 hens and a roo) who have just started laying and I would love to let them hatch some babies. She lays about an egg every other day. We have been...
Anyone know what this one is? They're a bit older now but I still just can't figure it out. I think maybe they're all 3 boys? For the sake of simplicity well call them:
A- Blue and white
B- Blue and red
C- Lavender/white and red.
We have a mixed flock of chicks that are about a month old and two of them are Barred Rocks. They have SO MUCH personality compared to the other breeds we have. They are curious and were the first to flap out of their brooder and roost on the edge of it before we got them out to the coop lol...
I know a bit early still but I have 3 beautiful Easter eggers that I'm really hoping are pullets. I was hoping someone here with experience could tell?
There's 3 of them, I included a comb pic and a body pic of each.
Thank you! Lesson learned, big time. I consider myself lucky that these girls are doing so well. I was pretty worried when I got them out of the box. They're doing great now, but I'm still taking it easy on them and keeping their stress low.
I had a polish roo that took on a red tailed hawk and took a few days to recover. My dog broke up their fight and the hawk flew off and I seriously thought my roo was dead. I had to go to work so I left him outside in the ground and planned to bury him when I got home. It rained that day. When I...
I will pick some up today!! They're doing 1000% better. They are now walking around peeping like crazy and are eating and drinking and cleaning themselves. Thank you all SO MUCH. You all are literal lifesavers here!
From a private breeder in Ohio, I'm located in Kansas. They're doing better, the frizzled one is eating, drinking, and walking around. The smooth one is still sleepy but is drinking better and occasionally holding her head up and looking around.
I got e serama juveniles in the mail today. The roo is fine but the two hens are lethargic, won't open their eyes or lift their heads. They occasionally peep and shiver. What do I need to do?!
