Hi all! It’s Don of donrae. From all of us, Merry Christmas! I know Rae would be here if she could be, but she’s busy tending Gods flock now.
Thank you Phil for the message today. Someday I pray that we’ll all be reunited!
This is Rae. June of 2014 I think. Just after initial diagnosis and the start of chemotherapy. She didn't want her hair falling out slowly, so she took the clippers to it!
Good Morning Team Rachel! It's Rae's Honey. Just reminiscing. It's so hard to believe that it has been almost a year since her last relapse. It's so amazing to see you all still getting together on this thread!
Since you're all still here, let me give you an update:
Big Boy moved out on...
I'm sorry to have to tell you all..... Our Rachel passed away this morning. Comfortably. Peacefully. And oh so Loved! Thank you all for being such a large part of her life. No amount of time or preparation makes this day any easier.
I love you all because of the love you shared with Rae!
Don
Hi every buddy! This is sugar monkey, typing in for my mom. She asked me to come and give you all an update. She is back home on Hospice; now we're just waiting for her to go see Jesus. She's not having much pain, so that's a good thing, but she has no vision and that's very frustrating.
"I...
Hi all! The is her Honey posting to update you all. Thank you all for the love and support and for being such an group for her to belong to. She has asked that I tell you all what's going on, so please grab some tissues and sit down.
Rachel had received another round of induction chemotherapy...
Hey all. Had a bit of a rough time. Of all things, it started with a spot of athletes foot at my little toe. Well, when you have zero immune system, that bit of nothing turns your foot to a purple throbbing thing that is so exquisitely tender no one can touch it. IV Vancomycin is brought in...
I got to bask in some of that beautiful sunshine while getting platelets yesterday....and yep, grey and gloomy this morning. Maybe it will burn off, who knows?
Feeling okay this morning, got some decent deep. Mom and my niece Jess came to visit yesterday. Good to see them but Mom didn't let me...
Hey all. Kind of feeling the chemo catching up I guess. Just weaker and tired today. Honey's headed home for the weekend, I think my Mom is coming over tomorrow.
Sold a few birds yesterday and have a lady wanting some today. Ill feel better when they're gone and the boys don't have to take...
She looks to be a classic Barnyard Mix. Likely a mix of mixes, with the wavy comb, mixed coloring and dark legs. Looks like she's a good Momma? That would make her a keeper in my book!
Hi all. Last day of chemo! Now it will be the waiting game of my counts tanking and waiting for recovery, hopefully without too many complications. They are now talking about transfusion me with lymphocytes from my original donor and see how that does. Not as brutal as a full on transplant...
Do a search on this forum. There are several threads about inbreeding and line breeding.
Basically, if your parent stock are healthy, your offspring are going to be healthy. With hatchery birds I've bred about 4 generations and had no issues.
Doing okay. Waiting for my platelets, it takes a while because they have to be matched. Feeling kind of tired but doing okay. It was so good to have honey here last night.
Stoopid tablet.
Gotta remember to proof read better.
Honey made it back up last night. Echo passed his driving test. I get my first transfusion of platelets today. Excitement just busting out all over the place!
